This accommodation was in a very convenient location with access to key transportation hubs within a few minutes of walking. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing us with useful information and letting us store our luggage when we checked out in the morning to go sightseeing before our train in the evening. The room was clean and comfortable with the basic amenities that we needed to have a pleasant stay.
There was an abundance of mosquitoes in the room, which made it difficult to fall asleep at night. The bathroom was a bit cramped and could be cleaner.

I had a wonderful stay at Hive Bed And Backpacker in Hualien City. The bed was fully equipped with a locker, charging spot, reading light, and even a small folding table. The showers were super clean and the air conditioning was strong, providing a comfortable temperature in the room. The free all-you-can-eat breakfast was a bonus, with ham and cheese slices included. For all these amenities, I paid a great value of $500. I highly recommend this hostel.
I did have a minor inconvenience with the bunk bed facing a sliding door entrance, causing some noise and disturbance from the light in the corridor. Curtains would have been a nice addition for better privacy.

I had a great stay here! The hostel is conveniently located near the train station and the bus stop to Taroko Gorge. The hotel facilities are top-notch, with really cool and comfortable dormitories. I loved the privacy of the beds, which also had reading lights, charging spots, and tables. The showers were super clean too! The breakfast was free and had a great selection, including ham and cheese slices. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

Located close to the train station, this affordable backpacker hostel is perfect for budget travelers. While it's a bit far from the attractions, you can easily take a bus to the Taroko National Park. the paid laundry service and drying area provide convenience to backpackers.
Sadly, the bunk beds face a noisy corridor entrance, which may disturb light sleepers.

Lovely, comfy room. Great staff. Convenient location. Clean and comfortable facilities. Helpful for travel ideas. Good for Taroko Gorge tour. Close to train and bus stations. Pleasant staff and early check-in option. Male and female specific bathrooms. Water and towels provided.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

During my Christmas stay, I enjoyed the affordable price and great value of this hidden gem. the common area and kitchen were lovely, especially the cozy bed setup with a little desk, lockers, plug, and lamp. the location was also very convenient, as it was a short walk from the train station and the shuttle bus to Taroko.
I found the shared bathroom to be a disappointment. It was not very clean, and there was only one bathroom for the entire place.
